A rare disease has too few patients and too few researchers for any one country to solve alone, which is exactly why we don't try to. About EB Epidermolysis bullosa is a rare genetic condition that leaves skin as fragile as a butterfly's wing. It blisters and tears from ordinary contact — a hug, a seam, swallowing food — bringing relentless pain, severe itch, and for many, a significantly shortened life. There is no cure yet.

A note on the lens: this audit measures your giving against one philosophy — venture philanthropy, the model behind the first approved treatments for epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
